    Our client, a rapidly growing, well capitalized world class leader in their sector, is recruiting for their new Manager of SEC Reporting. This highly visible and challenging position will provide hands on external/SEC reporting leadership as the company moves forward with cutting edge new global level projects. This role will work with key parties across the company including technical accounting, legal and operations. The position will also clearly allow you to add your signature on the organization as the company’s global reach expands. As part of the core duties for this challenging Manager of SEC Reporting role you will:

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Oversee the SEC reporting process including the preparation and filing of financial statements including statements of cash flow, footnote disclosures and MD& A
    • Complete disclosure checklists to ensure financial statements and footnote disclosures are in compliance with applicable requirements
    • Take responsibility for the financial statement tie out packages and review XBRL tagging for accuracy
    • Work closely with the technical accounting team to provide support on disclosures and ensure compliance with both GAAP and SEC requirements
    • Review of external reporting processes, including process narratives and policies around disclosure controls and internal controls covering financial reporting.
    • With the technical accounting team, assist in the implementation of new accounting and disclosure requirements
    • Assist with the review of contracts for accounting implications to determine pertinent reporting and disclosures
    • Ad hoc projects as required by executive management

    Qualifications:

     

    • Active CPA with 7+ years of experience, including with SEC reporting gained from a large international/Big 4 firm or a publicly traded company
    • Demonstrated knowledge of SEC reporting and US GAAP
    • Experience with XBRL and Workiva is a plus
    • Preferred experience with derivatives and hedging, debt and equity transactions, and development stage projects.
    • Proven technical written and executive level verbal communication skills
    • Possess exceptional attention to detail and an ability to consistently meet deadlines.
