Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you will:
- Assist patients by providing guidance on medical assistance programs and helping them navigate available resources.
- Educate patients on understanding their medical bills, insurance benefits, and financial options.
- Collaborate with social workers, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members to ensure exceptional patient support.
- Communicate with insurance companies to manage patient accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Utilize administrative tools like Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel to handle tasks and track information accurately.
- Support the team by taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Travel regularly to client facilities (mileage reimbursement provided).
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in customer service, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to empathize with patients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Capability to travel regularly within the area (must have reliable transportation).
