Robert Half is seeking a Project Management consultant experienced with Cloud migration project management, Jira and Agile.
As a Senior Technology Project Manager, you will work with the Technology Team and project leaders/participants to effectively scope, prioritize, report, and implement projects using agile and other methodologies. This role supports our long-term strategy by leading cross-functional units, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure successful delivery of complex Cloud Migration projects through adaptive planning and continuous improvement.
Essential Job Duties:
• Lead both directly and indirectly assigned projects to ensure successful completion. Support leaders, managers, and project contributors (both internal and external) by providing project management guidance, perspective, and support.
• Leverage project management principles to both develop and drive adherence to planned timelines and outcomes.
• Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Project Teams, practices, tools, and techniques, and educating on and implementing agile methodology.
• Program Management:
o Support Project Management Charter.
o Assist in developing and maintaining Project Management tools, education, and structural support processes to facilitate effective project management/deployment.
o Work with Leadership and business unit stakeholders to develop, deploy, and monitor standard PM processes (includes training business unit project leaders/participants on basic PM practices/tools).
o Identify, document, and continuously improve key PM related processes.
o Manage the PM tools/systems (task tracking, meeting minutes, timelines, etc.).
•Project Management:
o Assist in the development and implementation of projects under the direction of the VP of Technology to ensure all business requirements are met.
o Assist business unit project sponsors and leads in completing thorough project scoping, business cases, and project charters.
o Assist in the development and implementation of attainable project plans/timelines.
o Facilitate/co-facilitate project related meetings.
o Lead/co-lead large scale cross-functional projects, as needed.
o Interface with all areas affected by the project, including end users and vendors.
o Actively work with project sponsors, leaders, and team members to monitor and manage to quality standards, timelines, and commitments made to complete project tasks/deliverables.
o Capture project meeting minutes, follow-ups, and business decisions to maintain an accurate narrative of each project’s progress.
o Facilitate project closeouts/lessons learned and incorporate improvements into the key PM processes, tools, etc.
o Coordinate with SMEs throughout the organization, as needed, to facilitate their involvement in project related activities to ensure quality results.
Other duties as needed
Occasional travel to New Mexico may be required.

The successful Project Manager will have:
• PMP or Agile certification desired
• 6+ years running enterprise level projects, using formal project management principles. Agile preferred.
• Experience managing Cloud Migration projects; AWS preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Atlassian Jira project management tools.
• Experience within heavily regulated industry is a plus
