Visual Designer Job Description

Visual designers create the concepts, artwork and layout for digital projects based on creative briefs and client meetings. This role is a hybrid of graphic design and user interface (UI) design, and often requires knowledge of a specific business sector. Candidates for this position must have an understanding of web design issues, including browser usability and cross-platform compatibility. They also need strong design and troubleshooting skills, as well as an eye for detail. Responsive design experience, basic coding abilities and e-commerce skills are all pluses.

Typical visual designer duties:

Designing for a variety of platforms, which may include collateral, internet and intranet sites, products, advertising, games, movies and videosCreating logos, icons and infographics, and production assetsCollaborating closely with IT and business teams on interaction models and data visualization
