Treasurer Job Description

The treasurer role requires excellent communication, technology, problem-solving and analytical abilities. Candidates for treasurer usually need at least 10 years of professional experience, and public accounting experience is a plus. Companies seek applicants who possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics and prefer advanced credentials such as an MBA or the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).
