Security Architect Job Description

Security architects design, build, test, and implement security systems within a company’s IT network. These professionals also help the organization to continually refine its IT security infrastructure and approach to protect against hackers, malware, and similar threats. This management-level position requires strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational, and change management skills along with knowledge of the latest security standards, regulations, systems, and authentication protocols. A degree in IT, computer science, or a related field is typically required, and five to 10 years of experience in information security and IT risk management is preferred.
