This professional is involved in the product life cycle from conception through development and marketing to implementation. The role requires a blend of business and marketing talent combined with IT knowledge. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, be able to deal effectively with both IT and business/sales professionals, and must see the “big picture” in terms of the product life cycle. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or business, plus five or more years of experience in software product management.
