IT Product Manager in Seattle, WA

IT Product Manager Job Description

A product manager develops, implements and manages a strategy for an organization’s product(s). This professional is involved in the product life cycle from conception through development and marketing to implementation. The role requires a blend of business and marketing talent combined with IT knowledge. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, be able to deal effectively with both IT and business/sales professionals, and must see the “big picture” in terms of the product life cycle. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or business, plus five or more years of experience in software product management. For some product manager jobs, an MBA is highly desirable.

Coordinating software engineers and developers to define product requirementsWorking with sales and marketing to define customer needs, market potential, competitive analysis, and marketing strategyWriting product information materials to brief sales personnel on product features and benefitsAssisting with trade show presentations of the product
