Human resources assistants provide vital support to HR departments by helping manage daily administrative tasks and ensuring smooth HR operations. They assist with employee records, recruitment processes, onboarding and benefits administration. This role is essential for maintaining organized documentation and delivering a positive employee experience.

Typical hr assistant duties:

Maintain and update employee records, both digital and physical, in compliance with company policiesAssist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews and communicating with candidatesSupport new-hire onboarding by preparing documentation and coordinating orientation sessionsRespond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits and proceduresHelp process payroll changes, time-off requests and personnel updatesCoordinate training sessions, performance reviews and employee engagement activitiesPrepare HR reports and assist with audits and compliance documentationProvide general administrative support to the HR team and assist with special projects
