Director of Financial Analysis Job Description

The director of financial analysis must have strong analytical, critical thinking, leadership, presentation and organization skills to go along with a solid background in financial planning and analysis. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field, but many businesses also seek candidates with an MBA. Top candidates have a minimum of eight years of relevant experience and at least two years of experience supervising others. Excellent verbal, writing and interpersonal communication skills are a must, as this role includes communicating complex information to coworkers in all departments and at all levels.
