There’s a certain art to mingling at conferences and business networking events. The key is to remember it’s not a race or numbers game. As you meet fellow event attendees, keep in mind that quality trumps quantity. Don’t robotically rush through conversations. You don’t get a prize for collecting the most business cards. Build rapport and show that you’re fully engaged in discussions by maintaining good eye contact and listening intently.
