As Robert Half ramps up to sponsor and exhibit at Adobe MAX 2024, we had a chance to speak with Elissa Scott, Adobe senior manager of event marketing to get insider tips on this year’s event. Q&A with Elissa Scott, Senior Manager, Event Marketing, Adobe
Adobe MAX is the world’s largest global conference for designers, illustrators, photographers, social media content creators, video professionals and more. Creatives come together from around the world to gather as a community — both in person and online. They join to hear the latest product announcements from Adobe, to be on the forefront of technology, to learn new skills, find inspiration and also to find their people. We like to think of MAX as Creativity Camp.
This is the first time in 20 years of MAX that we’ve hosted it on the East Coast. We’re seeing a lot of excitement among attendees for the fresh take on location. Miami Beach is such a vibrant city that’s rich in diversity and is known for its arts and cultural scene, and that makes it a natural fit for the creativity conference. And we’re pleased that the location makes it easier than ever for East Coasters to attend in person.
There are so many — we have over 150 speakers lined up. Personally, I’m very excited to welcome our luminary speakers to the stage. These sessions will be livestreamed for the online audience as well. This year the lineup includes: Cey Adams, Artist and Designer and Founding Creative Director of Def Jam Records Nicholas Blechman, Creative Director at The New Yorker Kristy Campbell, Designer, Brand Specialist and Founder of Pink Pony Creative Karin Fong, Creative Director of Imaginary Forces Javier Jaén, Artist, Javier Jaén Studio
With over 200 sessions, labs and photowalks in Miami, and 50+ sessions for the online audience, MAX is truly the best place to learn from industry leaders, and to learn directly from the people who actually build the products that creatives spend such a huge amount of time working in. Attendees will learn about the latest design trends, tools and features and will also see first-hand how other creatives and companies are successfully implementing tools and workflows that make a large impact on their teams and business.
1. The opportunity to improve skills and gain new ones 2. The ability to learn directly from the experts 3. The people they meet To quote an attendee from last year, “There is a lot that goes on between the sessions and keynotes. Friendships blossom, ideas are exchanged, we listen, we talk, we touch, we see, we experience, we exchange, we interface, we INTERACT. That’s what it’s all about for me.”
Don’t be afraid to break the ice! These are your people and it’s your chance to talk about the things that inspire you. You never know who you’ll sit next to in your session or lab. Many people attend alone and are looking to strike up a conversation and share ideas. We recommend attending one of the two sessions in the Creative Park Theater on how to make the most of your time at MAX. You’ll be able to sign up for those sessions in September. And don’t miss the opportunity to just reach out to someone new. You never know what connections you’ll make.
We want attendees to walk away with new workflows that help to streamline and scale content production. We want them to have new skills and ideas on how to integrate with products they use regularly, and ones they hadn’t dabbled in until MAX. We hope they’ll learn how to work better with teams to help boost collaborative workflows. It’s all about helping creatives to work more quickly and efficiently so that they can spend more time actually creating and ideating and doing the things that fill their creative buckets. All while having an even larger impact on their organizations. And of course, we hope they’ll feel inspired long after the conference has ended.
