    We are seeking a motivated and goal-oriented Sales Representative to join a leading company in the trucking and logistics industry. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and providing tailored transportation solutions. This role requires a willingness to travel out of state to meet clients, attend industry events, and support business development efforts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Client Acquisition and Retention:
    • Identify and target prospective clients in need of trucking and logistics services.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
    • Understand client needs and promote customized transportation solutions.
    • Sales Generation and Growth:
    • Meet and exceed sales goals by establishing new business opportunities and managing the sales pipeline.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling service proposals tailored to customer needs.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability for the company while delivering value for clients.
    • Travel & Client Engagement:
    • Travel out of state to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and represent the company at industry events.
    • Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospective and existing clients to foster trust and collaboration.
    • Market Analysis and Reporting:
    • Research market trends, identify opportunities for growth, and stay informed of competitor activities.
    • Provide detailed reports on sales activities, client feedback, and market observations to support strategic planning.
    • Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of transportation services.


    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in sales, ideally within the trucking, transportation, logistics, or freight industry.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Self-starter with a highly motivated approach to meeting and exceeding sales targets.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Comfort with regular travel, including overnight stays, to support business development efforts.
    • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to generate reports and analyze data.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but relevant sales experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

    Work Environment:

    • This role will involve a combination of office work and travel. The Sales Representative will meet clients in person, represent the company at industry events, and perform administrative duties when not traveling.
