As a Smart Hands Technician, you will assist with hardware installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to follow detailed instructions, respond to technical requests quickly, and adapt to evolving priorities.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform physical installations and de-installations of servers, network devices, cabling, and other hardware in the data center environment.
    • Execute structured cabling tasks, including patch panel terminations, cable testing, and labeling.
    • Assist in equipment upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning activities as required.
    • Conduct visual inspections and basic troubleshooting for hardware and connectivity issues.
    • Manage inventory and ensure proper storage and tracking of equipment.
    • Provide on-site support for system reboots, hardware replacements, and other hands-on tasks at the direction of remote IT teams.
    • Collaborate with team members to execute data center service requests accurately and efficiently.
    • Document activities and asset changes in ticketing systems or asset management databases.

    • Proven experience in IT support, data center operations, or as a Field Technician.
    • Familiarity with physical layer components, including cabling, power, and network equipment.
    • Strong understanding of data center best practices, including cable management and ESD (electrostatic discharge) precautions.
    • Basic knowledge of networking and server hardware.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces when necessary.
    • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts when required.
