Graduate Assistant Accountant - Leeds (£25,000-£28,000)

Key Responsibilities:
Group Reporting
- Assist in preparing monthly Group consolidated Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
- Support the preparation of annual statutory group and consolidated accounts.
- Review monthly submissions from subsidiary companies to identify areas of incompleteness, error, or risk.
- Conduct data gathering and analysis across the Group finance team.
- Assist with intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet reviews to ensure Group and regional submissions comply with guidelines.
- Play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient year-end audit process.
Other Duties:
- Provide feedback, training, and ongoing support to regional finance teams as required.
- Support Group Finance projects, including the implementation of a new global consolidation system.
- Assist in developing and adopting new processes and procedures across the Group.
- Ensure compliance with the accounting manual and relevant accounting standards.
- Demonstrate behaviour aligned with the organisation's core values.
Desired Skills and Background:
- Experience in an international organisation with multi-currency exposure is desirable.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently engage and, where necessary, challenge senior stakeholders and board members.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines, delivering consistent and accurate results.
- A mindset for continuous improvement, with the initiative to resolve recurring issues and enhance the quality of tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving and dynamic business environment.
