    Robert Half is delighted to be partnering with this South West based Housing Association, supporting them with recruiting a Finance Director to lead them through a transitional period of six months.

    As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will report directly to the Chief Executive and the Board, holding full accountability for the organisation's financial strategy and performance. You will provide strategic financial oversight, deliver clear financial reports, conduct variance analysis, and perform scenario modelling to inform decision-making and drive business success.

    • Financial Strategy & Leadership
      Develop and implement the financial strategy, providing strategic advice to the senior leadership team, and managing long-term financial planning.
    • Financial Reporting & Compliance
      Oversee accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including timely submission of financial statements.
    • Budgeting & Financial Management
      Lead budgeting processes, monitor cash flow, and ensure the organisation operates within financial constraints while managing cost efficiency.
    • Team Management & Development
      Manage and mentor the finance team, overseeing training, performance appraisals, and fostering a culture of continuous development.
    • Financial Controls & Risk Management
      Establish and maintain robust financial controls, identify and mitigate financial risks, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
    • Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
      Communicate financial performance to senior management, trustees, and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic objectives.

    Length of Contract; 6 months

    Hybrid working; full time role with two days a week onsite in Bristol

    Pay; up to £625 per day outside of IR35

    To be considered for this role you will be a fully-qualified Accountant, with prior experience of leading a finance team. You must have experience of working for a Housing Association to be considered for this role.
