    We are on the lookout for a skilled Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this role, you will be tasked with managing a variety of accounting activities within our real estate industry. Your main duties will revolve around overseeing the accounting functions, working closely with external corporate accountants, and providing necessary reports to the management team.


    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the full-cycle accounting activities for multiple ongoing real estate development projects.
    • Collaborate with external corporate accountants to ensure the preparation of annual financial statements for all operating entities.
    • Handle tax remittances, WCB, and other government document submissions.
    • Conduct regular reviews of month-end financial statements.
    • Oversee intercompany entries and reconciliations, ensuring adherence to delivery deadlines.
    • Process payroll as and when required.
    • Supervise accounts payable/receivable clerk in carrying out vendor reconciliations and bank reconciliation duties.
    • Prepare monthly construction draws for financing.
    • Generate job cost reports and manage monthly budget updates.
    • Provide recommendations to management on best practices and operational processes in accounting.
    • Perform other accounting/finance-related duties as required.

    Requirements:

    • Must possess strong proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
    • A solid background in auditing is required
    • Should have the ability to handle billing functions effectively
    • Proficiency in using Yardi Voyager is a must
    • Familiarity with the real estate industry is required
    • Experience in commercial property management is necessary
    • Must have knowledge of real estate project accounting
