Product Manager - Technology Job Description

A product manager in Canada develops, implements, and manages a strategy for an organization’s product(s). This professional is involved in the product life cycle from conception through development and marketing to implementation. The role requires a blend of business and marketing talent combined with IT knowledge. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and be able to deal effectively with both IT and business/sales professionals. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or business, plus five or more years of experience in software product management. For some product manager jobs, an MBA is highly desirable.
