This role leverages expertise in both networking and cloud technologies to create a scalable, secure, and reliable IT environment that supports business needs and goals.

Typical network/cloud architect duties:

Design and implement a hybrid IT architecture that integrates on-premises networks with cloud-based resources (public, private, or hybrid cloud).

Develop and maintain network architecture blueprints considering factors like security, scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Select and implement appropriate network and cloud technologies (SDN, network security solutions, cloud migration strategies).

Configure and manage cloud infrastructure services (e.g., compute, storage, networking) on various cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Design and implement secure network segmentation and access control policies.

Optimize network performance and troubleshoot network-related issues.

Collaborate with network engineers, cloud engineers, and other IT professionals to ensure successful implementation and integration of the network and cloud environment.
