Credit Manager/Supervisor Job Description

Credit managers/supervisors in Canada manage credit risks and ensure the timely collection of payments from customers. This role is responsible for developing and implementing credit policies, analyzing customer creditworthiness, and overseeing the entire credit and collections process.

Typical credit manager/supervisor duties:

Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive credit policy that balances risk mitigation with customer satisfaction. Analyze customer financial statements, credit reports, and other data to assess creditworthiness and potential risks. Develop and implement strategies to minimize credit risks, such as obtaining credit insurance or requiring advance payments. Prepare reports on credit performance metrics (e.g., accounts receivable turnover, bad debt ratio) to analyze trends and identify areas for improvement.
