Compensation Analyst Job Description

The compensation analyst is responsible for analyzing, developing, and administering compensation programs and policies to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of compensation principles and Canadian employment law. Compensation analysts collaborate with HR and finance teams to provide data-driven recommendations to support the company's compensation strategy.

Typical compensation analyst duties:

Conduct job evaluations and analysis to determine appropriate salary ranges and job classifications. Research and analyze salary data from market surveys to establish competitive compensation benchmarks. Develop and maintain compensation structures, including base pay, incentives, and bonus plans. Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and territorial compensation and wage regulations. Assist with salary planning and budgeting processes.
