    The Role

    As the Senior Financial Accountant your primary responsibility is the preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts, including ASX compliant Annual and Interim Financial Reports. You will provide technical accounting support, identifying and analyzing accounting issues and preparing accounting papers. Embrace a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

    • Prepare consolidated monthly financial results, including variance analysis.
    • Prepare the Annual and Interim Financial Reports in compliance with Accounting Standards and ASX reporting requirements.
    • Prepare the Annual Remuneration Report.
    • Provide adhoc financial analysis, including assisting with investor presentations.
    • Provide accounting and regulatory guidance in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards, including assisting with the preparation of accounting papers for the Audit and Risk Committee.
    • Offer technical accounting support, identifying and analyzing accounting issues.
    • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to analyze joint venture accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and guidelines.
    • Monitor and analyze joint venture financial performance, providing timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders and external partners.
    • Prepare corporate monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations relating to technical accounting issues.
    • Coordinate and oversee the audit process as the primary point of contact for the auditors.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
    • Undertake ad-hoc project work as required.

    Your Skills & Experience

    • Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or related field.
    • Professional Qualification - CPA or CA.
    • Prior experience in a technical accounting role preferably in an ASX listed company.
    • Experience in preparing statutory ASX quarterly, half-year, and full-year reporting.
    • Tax effect accounting experience.
    • Sound knowledge of accounting standards.
    • Proven ability to liaise effectively with C Level Executives.
    • Self-driven approach and experience in taking the initiative and making decisions.
    • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to interact and engage with stakeholders across businesses.
    • Excellent skills in MS Excel and Word and other accounting systems.
