The Role
The business is seeking a Digital Business Analyst to play a key role in the implementation of a new billing system across the organisation, ensuring it meets business objectives and delivers a seamless user experience. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders from HR, Finance, Legal, Risk, and ICT to design, enhance, and align digital systems with strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include analysing current systems, conducting research to identify needs and opportunities, building relationships with users and technical teams, and translating business requirements into actionable, technology-driven solutions.
As a central figure in the organisation's digital transformation journey, the Digital Business Analyst will focus on optimising and integrating systems, with a significant emphasis on the new billing system. This entails evaluating existing processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and identifying opportunities for innovation. The ideal candidate will leverage qualitative and quantitative research to drive insights, prioritise initiatives, and shape the evolution of the business's digital landscape.
Collaboration is critical, with the Digital Business Analyst working closely with teams to streamline processes and foster efficient communication. Organising and planning activities to align the new billing system with business goals, evaluating required actions, and ensuring the effective allocation of resources will be core responsibilities. Providing precise technical advice will enable informed decision-making, ensuring the successful development and deployment of the new billing system and other digital solutions.
The role also involves working in agile environments, contributing to high-performing teams delivering innovative projects. Utilising tools like Jira and Confluence, the Digital Business Analyst will manage project boards, track progress, and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure timely, high-quality delivery. Your Profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in digital front-house and/or back-house applications, coupled with demonstrated business acumen and exceptional communication and presentation skills. With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, they can effectively narrow down data and detail while also understanding the bigger picture. Demonstrated experience in delivering innovative agile initiatives in high-performing teams, along with proficiency in Jira/Confluence for project management, is essential.
Most importantly, they should possess the ability to drive ideas from inception to delivery, demonstrating a strategic mindset and the necessary skills to ensure successful outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills are also essential for this role. Previous experience in the energy sector or a similar highly regulated environment is paramount.
