The Role
-Team Leadership: Manage and grow multiple engineering teams, fostering collaboration and excellence.
-Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with senior leaders and global teams to align local development efforts with broader company goals.
-Process Optimization: Implement agile methodologies and best practices to enhance team efficiency and product delivery.
-Technical Oversight: Guide the design, development, and improvement of core insurance products built on cloud-native microservices architecture.
-Talent Development: Mentor team members, helping them grow their technical expertise and leadership skills.
-Stakeholder Engagement: Occasionally interact with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on product goals and requirements.
Your Skills
Experience & Skills
-Solid experience in software development, ideally within SaaS or PaaS environments.
-Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
-Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
-Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern software development practices (e.g., DDD, BDD).
-Strong problem-solving skills with experience managing risks and dependencies across projects.
Language Proficiency
-Fluent-level Japanese for effective communication with local stakeholders and documentation.
-Solid level English for collaboration with global teams.
Preferred Background
-Experience working in SaaS product companies or in-house development teams.
-Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus but not mandatory.
