By Susan Haseley, Chief Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Officer, Robert Half Since our founding on the principle of ethics first in 1948, Robert Half has prioritized our people, clients, candidates and communities while investing in our business and doing what is right. Our mission — to help job seekers find rewarding work and assist clients in locating the talent and consulting experience they need to grow — has remained the same over these years. Our foundation of integrity, legacy of innovation, dedication to inclusion and commitment to success is what continues to set us apart.   The annual release of our Leading With Integrity report shows how our values— the principles that underlie everything we do — drive our actions that make these values a reality through our programs, goals and commitments. This report reflects on the previous year while simultaneously envisioning the future as we seek to make meaningful impact and build trust around the globe. In 2023, we opened new pathways — and strengthened and expanded others — to serve our people in bigger ways. Here are some ways we’ve really made a difference: Throughout the year, we continued to support and promote our employee network groups, which connect our employees across the globe, representing multiple dimensions and intersections of diversity. Professional development is a central element of the Robert Half employee experience, and last year we provided new and expanded opportunities for learning and skills growth, including through advanced technologies like generative AI. We continue to offer exceptional workplace flexibility to our employees and to explore new and better ways to deliver well-being programs and personal and professional support. We help our people give back — and give more. Robert Half’s volunteer and matching gifts programs help us support nonprofit organizations that matter to our employees in the places where we live and work. In 2023, we set an ambitious goal to increase employee volunteerism. By collaborating across our enterprise, we doubled the total number of employee volunteer hours logged the previous year. We maintain our commitment to the UN Global Compact principles, which embrace human rights, fair labor practices, environmental protection and anti-corruption measures. We also conducted our first Human Rights Impact Assessment and expanded employee training on our code of business conduct and ethics. We work hard to reduce Robert Half’s environmental impact at every level of our organization. Our climate goals have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and we’re proud to join businesses around the world in taking action to fight the most serious consequences of climate change.
